Justin and his team did everything they said they would do. They were on time, took proper time to prep the job correctly, and were easy to work with (a special shout out to Elvis). We had what looked like paint overspray on our garage door that was caused by the garage door installer. Even though J Brown didn't cause it, they went the extra mile and figured out how to remove it (thanks Victor!). There was only one surprise (color used on top of drain pipes) and even though most people prefer it done differently, they painted it the way we wanted it, even though it meant extra labor and paint. J Brown was fairly priced and provides excellent value. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Our neighbors have been commenting on how good our house looks!

I contacted Justin and he was incredibly responsive, giving me a quote within a few hours to paint our kitchen cabinets. He did a wonderful job of explaining the process. We were lucky that his team was ready to go the next week painting our cabinets, and we have a lot of them. We had purchased new cabinet doors, and he helped us understand what was needed prior to painting as we were putting on new soft close hinges. When the guys arrived, they were prompt, nice, and very communicative as to the process. They taped everything up well, and hung plastic in both our kitchen and our garage where they were painting the doors. I work from home with 2 dogs, and they made it very easy for me to take them out when needed. It took them 3 days to prep, sand, prime, and put on 2 coats of paint, which is impressive if you've ever painted cabinets before. I would highly recommend Justin and his team!

I highly recommend Justin and his team. They repaired stucco and painted the whole house and garage. I received 3 quotes from 3 companies and J Brown was very thorough with their quote as Justin spent over an hour after we walked around the property making notes, etc. Their price was right in the middle. The most important step in painting is prep. They did a great job with covering, masking etc.. The whole team was very responsive before, during and after the job.

2022 10-10 Review J. Brown paintingVery professional, great communication, and most importantly the painters take pride in doing an excellent job. From Ayala James, who first contacted us, Justin Brown, who came over did a walk through & gave us an estimate right away to Robert, who was on the site and communicated with us with any issues we might have we were very happy. Justin even gave us a separate estimate for doing our patio beams in case we might not want to spend that money on them. The crew were efficient and seemed to work very well together. All repairs to wood & stucco were included in the estimate. Paint samples were delivered & verified before the painting was done. Did a great job power washing and cleaning up after they were done. I would not hesitate to recommend J Brown Painting for a big painting project! We are very happy with the outcome.

We had a wonderful experience using J. Brown Painting. They painted the exterior of our home in Point Loma and did an excellent job. Ayala (executive assistant) was professional, communicative, and kept me up to date on all steps of the project. Additionally, Ayala was very helpful with requests for paint sample delivery and choosing colors, which I very much appreciated! Justin was professional and easy to work with. He provided a quote in a timely manner, walked through the project with Robert, and offered feedback and guidance on the project. Robert and his crew were quick and did a great job including stucco repair and touch ups on various areas of the property. We can't say enough good things about J. Brown Painting and have referred them to all of our friends and neighbors! Price was fair and competitive, work quality was great, and customer service was outstanding!

I want to say that J Brown Painting Isn’t going to be your least expensive option, but holy moly Justin and his crew were worth every single dollar. Don’t look anywhere else, you got what you pay for, we made that mistake prior to Justin and his crew coming in and fixing another’s mistake. Justin was right on time for his appointment and had such great confidence. Robert, their supervisor, was so professional and made sure to keep the job site neat, tidy, and he was so kind and professional. I was skeptical at first when they told me the timeline to have my project completed, but they had ALL of my kitchen cabinets and 3 bathrooms with all of the cabinets and walls painted in 3 days!! I just had Justin and his amazing team paint our outdated cherry kitchen cabinets. Anyone can paint kitchen cabinets, but to do it well, it takes a very experienced and knowledgeable team. The finished product exceeded expectations; our kitchen has a new lease on life. The team was courteous and professional and kept the job site clean and orderly. In addition to the cabinets, J Brown patched drywall, painted two rooms and repaired and painted a set of outside stairs. The quality was consistent throughout. I highly recommend J Brown Painting if you are looking for a high-quality job.

I had reached out to J. Brown Painting to update my kitchen from dark walnut to a brighter white finish. I cannot say enough great things about the entire process. Justin was very responsive, providing an estimate almost immediately, and we had the contract and start date set within a matter of days. The foreman, Robert, and the rest of the crew were punctual, pleasant, and efficiently got the job done. The overall paint job was flawless and I am extremely happy with the final result.

I'm a first time home owner. I selected J Brown because of the personal and quick response when I asked for an estimate online. And they were the best estimate too!They did a great job. Half of my cabinets were new and unfinished, and the other half was old cabinets, in okay shape. I reached out to J Brown Painting since I wanted to repaint several rooms of my condo. This definitely wasn't the cheapest bid, but I didn't want to go with the lowest bidder when it comes to my place. The responsiveness, scheduling and receiving a bid was an easy process to follow and made this painting company that much more worth the extra expense. I highly recommend using this painting contractor if you want a nice finish and quality work. I was squeezed in on a weekend, and I got the job done ahead of schedule thanks to Robert and two additional painters coming to paint.

The experience of working with Justin and his crew could not have been any better. Justin was personable, quick to respond, knowledgeable, and very professional. He was able to get the liability insurance for my condos HOA, where as other prior contractors were not able to fulfill it.My condo came out absolutely phenomenal after they finished painting. Justin, the owner of J Brown Painting, is an extremely professional person. He answered all of our detailed questions, worked with our HOA, and kept his crew safe. His foreman, Robert worked with the team everyday overseeing all the details of our specific painting needs, discussing each portion of the project with his crew and keeping everyone safe. Our building demanded high standards, teamwork, specific painting details which included high railings, trim, doors, fencing, gutters/downspouts, and rooftops. The building looks brand new, absolutely fantastic! We will always use Justin...J Brown Painting and his team anytime we need painting!

By way of a personal referral, Justin painted most of the inside of our first floor. We couldn't have hired a better, more professional painter. Justin ain't the cheapest but if I wanted cheap I would have handed a paint brush to my wife.My wife comes from a family of painters. So she's picky with paint. She looked at Justin's work tonite and said "I sure did pick out some good colors." Update: As promised, we're working with Justin again to paint the exterior of our house. And couldn't be happier. :) Same nice, professional guy doing an exceptional job!It's hard to find a good painter in San Diego. Justin is everything you'd want in a contractor: timely, friendly, dependable, and affordable. And clean! We worked with him to paint the interior of our old home, plus the kitchen cabinets and recently had him clean the windows of our new home. We plan to use him again to paint the inside and exterior of our new home soon too. Highly recommend!
